Whooping 1 lac crores sanction to construct 100 new airports across the country by 2025 is a sure shot route to mark India as the worlds fastest growing aviation market. In 2014, India had only 74 airports while in next 9 years we have 148 airports, by 2025, we will have aproxx. 220 new airports.
New big airport at Gwalior and nearby Jewar not only promises the inflated air traffic and infrastructural development but also creates a pathway to smooth transportation across 20kms radius in the circumference of the airport. This means, railways and road transport will also witness development.
Job vacancies are automatically created with the inflow of new aircrafts across various sectors and also small aircrafts ensuring last mile connectivity. 33 new domestic cargo terminals with dedicated 133 new cargo flights are being constructed to ensure easy transportation of goods in different industries thus raising the bar for job opportunities across various verticals amongst the spectrum of industries. Therefore, 1 direct job at the airport also creates 6-7 indirect job opportunities. Over 1 lac vacancies will be created by 2025 pan India. This sector has become the center for economic development.
However, there stands skill gap to bridge the barrier in between the skills required for the airport job and the fresh 10+2 pass or 12th perusing aspirants.
